Northern Consortium Holds Spring Gala
The Northern Consortium recently held its Spring Gala at Neiman Marcus' Rotunda Restaurant in Paramus, NJ. The theme of the event was "A Celebration of Motherhood." Guests enjoyed a raffle, Silent Auction, and readings from two authors: Lauren Grodstein, author of Friend of the Family, which was featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, and 5 year old Farese Pugsley, who read from his book Ian for Dice. Northern Consortium Publishes Guidebook for Black Pregnant Women
The Northern Consortium has published “Generations” – A Pregnancy Guide For Women of African Descent. It is designed to serve as a guidebook that is culturally competent, and also covers a variety of issues that can affect Black pregnant women. read more

Speaking of Courage
The Northern Consortium is proud to announce "Speaking of Courage," a booklet that contains the experiences of Black women who have experienced high-risk pregnancies or nurtured children with special needs. Told in their own words, the authors discuss hope, triumph, and dedication to family through challenges. read more
