Black Infant Mortality Reduction Resource Center (BIMRRC)
The Northern Consortium established the Black Infant Mortality Reduction Resource (BIMRR) Center in 1999 with funding from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services after discovering that Black infants were between two and three times times more likely to die than White infants before reaching their 1st birthday. read more

The Northern Consortium serves as an information and resource center on postpartum depression and perinatal mood disorders for the region (Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties). Perinatal Addictions Prevention Project
The Perinatal Addictions Prevention Project encourages healthcare providers that provide services to pregnant women to screen every pregnant woman for alcohol, tobacco, or other drug use and partner violence. Project staff provide on-site training, in-service presentations, or Grand Rounds presentations to healthcare providers focused on techniques for client screening, enhancing rapport, and resources available for treatment. read more
