Home Visitation Programs Celebrate Graduation
The Northern Consortium’s home visitation programs for Passaic County (Healthy-Families/TIP and Nurse-Family Partnership) recently celebrated the parents and children who completed the programs this year through a graduation event held at the Paterson Public Library.
A total of ten families attended the celebration and received certificates of achievement for successfully completing the home visitation programs. The families were recognized for their success in planning and achieving the program goals and for their dedication to their children.
One mother stated how she had never missed an event held by our programs in the three years she has received home visitation services. Another mother, a college student, working two part-time jobs and taking care of her two-year old daughter, stated that the program helped her stay motivated to continue her education. One mother who graduated from the Nurse-Family Partnership program became a member of the programs’ Home Visitation Advisory Board representing the community.
The home visitors (Registered Nurses and Family Support Workers), who worked closely with the families for approximately three years providing education, support, and referrals, were very proud to see the families and children graduating and moving forward toward a promising future. Congratulations to all of them!
