HF/TIP and NFP hold 3rd Annual Summer Safety Event
The Northern Consortium’s Passaic County Healthy Families/TIP and Nurse Family Partnership programs partnered together recently to hold the 3rd Annual Summer Safety Event in Paterson, NJ. The purpose of the event is to educate families on the various ways to stay safe during the summer. In addition to the summer safety tips, the “luau” theme provided families with fun and games, entertainment by a clown, lunch, snowcones, and cotton candy. The Paterson Fire Department was also there with the “The Fire Safety House.” The house is a mobile fire education tool designed to teach children vital burn prevention and fire escape methods through a fun, safe simulation of common household hazards.
