Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR)
The death of a baby is one of the most tragic losses a family can have. It seems unfair that a time that should have been so joyful becomes so painful.
With the hope that these tragic events can provide information that might help other families, the FIMR (Fetal Infant Mortality Review) project explores what happened when a baby dies during pregnancy or infancy. A FIMR team made up of doctors, nurses, social workers, and other experts makes recommendations based the information they gather from parent interviews and healthcare professionals.
The FIMR program is funded by a grant from the NJ Department of Health & Senior Services.
