Healthy Families/TANF Initiative for Parents (TIP)
The Healthy Families/TANF Initiative for Parents (TIP) Program is a home visitation program that assists families of pregnant women and newborns. The program guides and supports families by providing information on child development, parenting information, and referrals to health and community services.
A home visitor will assess the needs of the family and will provide appropriate referrals. Services are free, voluntary and confidential and are provided in the comfort of the family’s home for the baby’s first three years of life. The Northern Consortium operates Healthy Families/TANF Initiative for Parents Programs that serve Passaic and urban Essex Counties.
